Lords and Ladies

What makes this Arum so different is that its beautifully shaped. Marked and veined leaves appear in autumn and stay green all winter. Its inflorescence, the only conspicuous part being its soft yellow-green bract, consists of a spadix. Arum takes a year or two to establish well. Pink Buttercups

The flowers are not the only attractive part of the plant. The finely incised greenish-gray leaves only add to Oxalis adenophylla's beauty. Oxalis adenophylla originates from Chili and Argentina where it grows high up in the mountains. This plant is as well known as Chilean Wood Sorrel, Silver Shamrock, Pink Carpet Oxalis, Pink Sauerklee, and Sandoxalis. They prefer well drained soils. They do not winter well in wet soils.
