Sapphire Aster
With its perfectly clean, compact, dark green, disease resistant and rust free foliage, this plant has a height of 12-15" and a plant spread of 24". Aster `Saphire' makes an excellent container plant or in front of the garden feature and looks great with ornamental grasses. `Saphire' is attractive to bees, butterflies and birds and looks beautiful all season long.
The Aster `Saphire', 'Aster x dumosus', a Proven Winners selection, has large, fluffy, lilac blue flowers with yellow centers blooming August through September.
