Black and Blue Salvia

The bi-coloured blooms are 3/4 of an inch in size and occur in both spring and the fall. This selection of the hardy anise sage differs from the norm in that the calyx (the little cup that holds the open flower) is black instead of the usual green. This eye catching Salvia offers abundant deep blue cobalt blue tubular blooms that are an absolute favourite of hummingbirds.They are hardy to 15 degrees.

The Salvia Black and Blue, 'Salvia guaranitica', is a tall and attractive plant that has an upright growth habit which reaches 2 to 3 feet in height.

Lady in Red Salvia

The flower-spikes have all the vivacity of those popular plnts, but they are longer and less cluttered with blooms, which gives the plnts an airy grace and more of a shrub-like appearance. They are very uniform plnts and are heat and drought tolerant. This red-spiked variety performs well in containers and small space gardens. Santa Barbara Salvia

The vivid colours of the compact and early-flowering Santa Barbara do wonderful things to any container or garden. The rose-lavender coloured flowers contrast nicely against the white stems.
