Persian Fritillaria
The impressive Crown Imperial has a bundle of bell-like flowers all around the stem and a whimsical crown of green leaves. The pendulous flowers make a bold statement in the garden. It is by far the most well-known species and as well one of the earliest plânts to be cultivated. Mark the location of the bulbs to avoid any damage when digging or raking. The Persian Fritillaria blooms in mid to late spring for a 3 week period. These plânts are deer, squirrel, and rabbit resistant.
