Oriental Beauty Iris
Its unmatched presence is an elegant addition to any garden. The exquisite blue and yellow flowers rest atop sturdy stems. The sword-like leaves add oft-lacking vertical lines to the garden. Despite their name, these irises never grew wild in the Netherlands. Instead, they are the products of hybridization by a Dutch plant breeding firm. The Iris plant is great for borders, containers, naturalizing, and cut flowers. They are deer, rabbit and squirrel resistant.
The Iris 'Oriental Beauty', 'Iris hollandica', a fall planted bulb, is a bright and airy Dutch iris that resembles a bird in flight.
