Marvel of Peru Four O Clock
They are lightly fragrant. Four O'clock grows and flowers almost anywhere including hot, windy spots. The 2 inch long, 1 inch wide tubular shaped flowers appear in colours of crimson, red, scarlet, white, pink, and yellow. Water frequently for best results. Plant in the spring after the last average frost date. Marvel of Perus are excellent for pots or large tubs, and they make an great annual hedge.
The Four O'clock Marvel of Peru, 'Mirabilis jalapa', has flowers that often open after 4 pm for late day drama.
